Exctel successfully delivered critical telecommunication and safety systems for the Ichthys Gas Field Development Phase 2B Project, commissioned by INPEX Corporation and executed by McDermott Asia Pacific. Situated offshore in the Browse Basin, Australia, Ichthys is one of the Asia-Pacific region's largest energy developments, featuring complex facilities including a CPF and an FPSO.

Exctel’s scope involved detailed design, procurement, factory testing, and on-site commissioning of advanced subsystems, seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure. Key subsystems delivered included:

Advanced IP-based CCTV systems with explosion-proof PTZ cameras for comprehensive facility monitoring.
A robust Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) system ensuring complete emergency communication coverage.
VoIP-based telephone systems tailored for hazardous environments, incorporating explosion-proof telephones and integrated sounder-beacons. Secure, explosion-proof Wireless LAN systems ensuring reliable connectivity across offshore facilities.
