At EXCTEL, we pride ourselves on our proven expertise in managing large-scale and highly complex telecom system integration projects for the oil and gas industry. Our team’s extensive experience in Telecom EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project management encompasses every critical phase—from FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering to supply chain and construction management.

One of our most notable achievements is the successful delivery of one of the largest telecom projects in the oil and gas sector, aimed at establishing a robust transmission system connecting 35 offshore platforms and 17 onshore locations via an extensive Fiber Optical (FO) network. This project also included the integration of an advanced TETRA radio system to ensure seamless and secure communications across all operational sites.

The project was executed in two phases over eight years, reflecting Exctel’s commitment to excellence and precision. In the first phase, which spanned three years, we deployed 320 km of submarine FO cables and 7 km of onshore FO cables to connect 12 offshore platforms situated about 100 km from 5 onshore gas plants. The interconnected network ensured high-bandwidth, low-latency communication, vital for real-time operational control.

The second phase, extending over five years, involved laying an additional 480 km of submarine FO cables to connect 23 offshore platforms and 10 onshore locations. This phase also included the installation of 80 km of onshore FO cables through 40 km of newly constructed concrete duct banks for 12 onshore locations. Our comprehensive project management approach ensured timely delivery without compromising on quality or safety standards.
