Current opportunities
Join our growing engineering team to deliver telecommunications system design and integration for major offshore and onshore energy projects worldwide. Working alongside experienced engineers from different countries, you will gain exposure to international engineering standards, collaboration with leading EPC contractors and operators, and short-term overseas assignments for design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop telecom system architecture and interface philosophies
- Prepare engineering deliverables — equipment datasheets, Bill of Materials (BOM), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), FAT/SAT procedures and technical documentation
- Perform engineering calculations — radio, fibre-optic and microwave link budgets and power consumption calculations
- Produce engineering drawings — system block diagrams, internal wiring, termination, installation and equipment layout/mounting drawings
- Support equipment configuration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning activities
- Perform engineering simulations — radio coverage, PAGA sound coverage and CCTV coverage studies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable university (a Master's degree is an advantage)
- 8–10 years minimum experience in telecom engineering for offshore or onshore oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, FPSO, marine or industrial projects
- Proven experience in the design, engineering and system integration of multiple telecommunications systems
- Experience leading a small team of telecom engineers in project execution
- Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and to confidently present and defend engineering solutions
- Strong practical experience in at least five of: PAGA; PABX / IP telephony; GMDSS & marine navigation; VHF/MF/HF/UHF/TETRA/DMR radio; microwave, VSAT, LTE & private 5G; LAN/WAN & fibre-optic networks; CCTV & VMS; access control & intrusion detection; PIDS & personnel tracking; time synchronisation (GPS/NTP/PTP); NMS; satellite communications; vessel excursion monitoring & berthing aid; marine collision radar & LRAD; and UAV / drone detection systems
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
